First Time Home Buyer Savannah And Pooler Georgia Area
Over the past few months I've had an influx of first time home buyers come into my office for more information on the home buying process. I can't tell you enough how much I enjoy working with this specific brand of buyers if you will. There is just so much joy involved in the process of helping someone achieve their dream of home ownership for the first time. Often times the first question that arises in the buyer consultation is: "Where do I start?". There is a simple answer.... find a Realtor that you feel comfortable with. I take pride in my ability to ease the minds of my first time home buyers. Let's face it... buying your first home can seem like a big scary monster. However, in reality with the right guidance, it's quite the opposite. Here are some tips on how to make the process less scary.
1) Schedule a Buyer Consultation - What is a buyer consultation? Well, to put it quite simply, it's a meeting to discuss how the process works, your criteria, and how our team simplifies the process. Think of it as the foundation of your real estate search. This is where it all starts.
2) Prepare The Necessary Documents Ahead of Schedule - What documents do I need to give my lender? This varies from person to person. For starters, it's a great idea to compile 2 years tax returns/W-2's, 2 Months Bank Statements for all accounts, and 2 Months of Pay Stubs.
3) Write Down or Screen Shot Your Questions - Often times people think of all these great questions.... in the shower.... at midnight.... at lunch.... in the middle of class... well you get the idea. I always tell my buyers to buy a small size legal pad or notebook to write down their questions in. If you're more tech savvy, maybe screen shot your question in a blank text message. Better yet, text/email/call me. :)
I could write a list a mile long. However, if I did we wouldn't need a buyer consultation. :)
Listen folks, if you're unsure where to start or really just need advice on the home buying process. Call me. There is no shame in asking for help. Especially when it is with one of the biggest purchases that you will make throughout your life time.
